Last week, SHARE3DCAM partnered with Aplitop to host a live webinar exploring how SLAM LiDAR capture connects directly to real AEC deliverables — from point cloud data to CAD drawings and BIM-ready outputs. The session brought together surveyors, engineers, and AEC professionals from around the world to walk through a complete scan-to-deliverable workflow.

The webinar focused on the practical side of spatial data capture and processing, with two complementary perspectives:

SHARE3DCAM demonstrated how the SHARE SLAM S20 enables a single-operator, walk-and-scan capture process — covering interior and exterior spaces in minutes and generating dense, accurate point cloud data with minimal setup and flexible field operation.

Aplitop showed how that captured data flows into TCP PointCloud Editor, transforming raw point clouds into structured deliverables that fit directly into surveying, civil engineering, and construction documentation workflows.

Together, the session illustrated the full pipeline: from on-site capture, to point cloud processing, to CAD and BIM-ready outputs — addressing one of the most common questions we hear from AEC teams evaluating LiDAR scanning: what happens after the scan?
